It will be situated on the grounds of Vestforbrænding in Glostrup. It will be an extension of the actual Waste to Energy plant currently operating on site. 

Up to 500,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year from Vestforbrænding’s waste-to-energy facility.

If Gaia is awarded funding from the CSS fund, construction will commence in the summer of 2026 and be finished in 2029.
